About Us

Mainco is a independently owned Wire Rope Splicing Company, based at Redditch in  Worcestershire.
The Company was formed in September 2001 by husband and wife Mark & Monica Johnson after working within the  wire rope industry, obtaining a combined total of 51 years  experience. Aiming for the highest quality and accuracy of our finished products. Mainco has now become a steadily growing company.
 
Mainco operates a Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2008 
 
With constant improvement and investment to expand into the future, Mainco has purchased a second 330t press enabling us to offer wire rope slings up to 36mm diameter. 

We have recently purchased a hydraulic cable winding machine this can handle up to 40mm dia wire ropes on reels up to 4t in weight from our large turntable this machine measures and cuts with fume and spark extraction. lifts and lowers wound over reels effortlessly.

We have just added to our machinery a brand new annealing Fuse & Tapering Machine, enabling us to now fuse the ends up to 30mm diameter.  Our small wire dia splicing department has eight 25t presses, and a 60t press enabling us to maintain our agreed delivery dates.  
Diploma.  Mark has received the lifting equipment engineers association (LEEA) diplomas for the specialised subject lifting gear general.
Mainco operate a small machine shop Offering a bespoke service of assemblies and turned parts to individual requirements. machine shop equipment, two lathes small miller pedestal & bench drilling band saw cutting welding equpment
Mainco has been assessed by Gunnebo UK and is an approved supplier for all there  small diameter wire rope assemblies.
